More of Jamaica Pt. 2

A continuation from my last post. These next two pics are still from our National Heritage Week Celebration...

This is the grades 1-3 teacher. She's new this semester, and she's amazing with the kids. She's only 22 years old, and she's already been teaching for four years, can you believe it? But she's wonderful with the kids, and they absolutely love her - the home has been really blessed by her this term!

Some of the farm (coffee workers) got together and did a couple of songs for us. The one at the mic, K., is the grounds maintainence guy: BIG trouble, but he's good for a laugh and definitely keeps me entertained!

My sweet little boy - this guy is TOO cute for words. This picture doesn't even come close to doing him justice - every time that boy smiles, he just lights up a room! He was VERY proud of his craft on this particular day!!

This is one of the three brothers that I want to take home (I WISH!!!). I LOVE this boy - he is SO smart, and kind - spirited: I don't know if I've EVER met another child like him in my whole life.

This is the youngest of the three brothers, who will stop at nothing to be in my arms at every possible second of the day. I love this little boy so much that it almost takes my breath away: can you see why? Isn't he PRECIOUS?!!!

As always: thank you for your prayers, they're really really working! And I promise to post more for your viewing pleasure as soon as they become available!

Oh Steph, I'm dreading your goodbyes for you already.

Have you seen any spiritual growth in these kids?

Maybe you could do a post on the high and low of your trip so far?

Love ya!

Thanks for the pics. I will print them so my study group knows who they're praying for... though we already know your heart from your writings.

Thanks for sharing! Is it too late to donate to your mission trip? I had a little emergency with my son and there were doctor/surgeon visits and medicine co-pays, etc.
You are a blessing and it's plain to see these beautiful children are too. God Bless you!

Stephanie,

This is random, but were you at a TGI Fridays in Kingston during a Packer vs. Viking game recently? If so, I met you then and found your blog today. If not, I'm really sorry to bother you.

Hey Stephanie. We don't know each other but I read your blog sometimes. I will be praying for you. I think you came home yesterday. I have also done a little bit of mission work in Jamaica and know that it's harder and more of a culture shock coming home than it is going down. I'm sure you're feeling pretty torn up right now and I will pray that the adjustment back home will be smoothe and painless as possible.

Michelle: yes, yes, that was me! I can't believe you found me, how funny! But now, I'd like to find you, but you don't have a blog listed for me to go to! You could also just email me and we can connect that way if you'd like. I'd definitely like to hear more about your ministry!

Sarah: Thank you much for the prayers! Where in Jamaica did you work?
